I'm Mehdi Forkani, a freelance mobile & web app developer based in Casablanca, Morocco. I learned to code in the very first cohort of the LionsGeek Coding School, grew into its Head Coach, and today I build web platforms and mobile apps for startups, businesses, NGOs and institutions.

Who is Mehdi Forkani?

Mehdi Forkani is a freelance mobile and web app developer based in Casablanca, Morocco. He builds web platforms, mobile apps, backends and admin dashboards with Laravel, Inertia.js, React and React Native. He learned to code in the first cohort of the LionsGeek Coding School, became its Head Coach, and leads digital projects as project manager at LionsGeek PRO.

Are you available for freelance projects?

Yes. I take on freelance web and mobile app projects for startups, businesses, NGOs and institutions, in Morocco and remotely for clients abroad.

Do you work with clients outside Morocco?

Yes, remotely. I'm used to async collaboration, regular demos and clear written updates, and Morocco's time zone overlaps well with Europe and Africa, and partly with the Middle East and the US East Coast.

What kind of apps do you build?

Web platforms for organizations (e-learning, admissions, award programs, bilingual NGO sites), admin dashboards and internal tools, e-commerce sites, and cross-platform mobile apps with React Native, together with their backends and REST APIs.

Which technologies do you use?

Laravel and PHP for backends, React and Inertia.js for web apps, React Native and Expo for mobile apps, plus Tailwind CSS, MySQL, REST APIs and Git.

Which projects have you delivered?

Casatourat, a heritage tourism app and its dashboard for Casamémoire; the YES Africa summit app, e-learning platform and website for Jadara Foundation; My LionsGeek and the LionsGeek mobile app; the Tihad Azemmour Women club website and admin; an admissions platform for the Belgian schools in Morocco; the bilingual ISRAR coalition platform; and the Tilila platform for SOREAD-2M, among others. Will I work with you directly, or with a team?

As a freelancer, you work directly with me. Some projects in my portfolio were delivered with the LionsGeek PRO team, where I'm project manager; each project page states what my role was.

How does a project with you work?

We start by understanding how you really work and what you need. Then I design the product, build it in clear steps you can review, launch it, and keep supporting it. I stay involved from the first draft to the final delivery, and I treat security as part of the job from day one.

Do you work in French and Arabic?

Yes, I work in Arabic (Darija), French and English. En français : je suis développeur web et mobile freelance basé à Casablanca, et je crée des applications web et mobiles sur mesure pour les entreprises, les startups et les associations, au Maroc et à l'international.
